Cookie Policy

This page lists every cookie that SoundsMp3 sets, explains why each one exists, and explains how to control them. It is deliberately short, because the list is short.

1. What Are Cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store, and to send back to the website on later requests. Cookies let a site remember things between page loads, such as the language you chose.

Browsers also offer related storage that is not a cookie, such as localStorage and sessionStorage, which hold data inside the browser itself. Section 3 covers those separately.

2. How SoundsMp3 Uses Cookies

SoundsMp3 sets only the cookies needed to run the website. They are set on every page, including these legal pages, and they are not shared with third parties.

Essential cookies

Table of cookies used by the website
Cookie Purpose Lifetime
soundsmp3_session Maintains your session. It holds the language you are browsing in and the state of page interactions such as paginated sound lists. It contains a random session identifier rather than your personal details. Until the session expires, which is 120 minutes of inactivity by default, or when you close the browser.
XSRF-TOKEN Protects the website against cross-site request forgery. The server issues the token and checks it against the value sent with each request. Expires when the browser session ends.

Analytics cookies. None. SoundsMp3 does not run an analytics provider, so no analytics cookies are set.

Advertising cookies. None. SoundsMp3 does not run advertising technology and does not take part in ad networks.

Preference cookies. None. Your language choice is stored inside the session cookie above rather than in a separate cookie.

3. Local Storage and Similar Technologies

SoundsMp3 does not currently use localStorage or sessionStorage. The audio player keeps its state, meaning which clip is loaded and the playback position, in memory for the current page only, and that state is discarded when you close or reload the tab.

If browser storage is introduced later, it will be documented here together with its purpose.

4. Third-Party Cookies

SoundsMp3 does not set cookies on behalf of third parties, and it does not embed advertising or social widgets that would set their own cookies.

The website does load fonts from Google Fonts and a player library from unpkg.com. Both are requested directly by your browser, and those hosts may apply their own cookies or store data in your browser under their own policies. Those are third-party resources rather than cookies set by this site, and they are outside our control.

5. Managing Cookies

You can review, block and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:

  • see every cookie a site has stored, and delete individual cookies or all of them;
  • block cookies for a single site, or for all sites;
  • clear cookies automatically each time the browser closes;
  • refuse cookies from a specific site and then allow them again later.

Blocking the session cookie means your language selection will reset on each visit, and interactive features such as paginated loading will not work as intended. These legal pages and audio playback remain readable and available either way.

SoundsMp3 does not currently display a cookie-consent banner, because it does not use cookies that require consent. If that changes, this page and any consent mechanism will be updated accordingly.

6. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this page when the cookies used by the website change. The revised version is published here, and the "Last updated" date above shows when it changed.
