1. Introduction
SoundsMp3 is designed to be useful without needing to know who you are. Most of the website can be browsed, previewed and downloaded without an account. The public pages contain no registration, no checkout and no comment system, which keeps the amount of information held about visitors small.
Where the website does handle information, it does so to run the service, to answer enquiries, and to protect the service from abuse.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly. The public pages of SoundsMp3 do not include a registration form, a contact form or a payment form. Personal information is received only when you choose to send it, for example:
- when you email a copyright or other notice to the address listed on our DMCA / Copyright page, which normally includes your name, email address, signature and details of the work concerned;
- when you email a general enquiry, a correction request or a privacy request;
- when you report a problem with an item, if you choose to include contact details so that we can follow up with you.
Anything sent to us is handled over email and stored in the mailbox that receives it.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the infrastructure that hosts SoundsMp3 records standard technical information whenever a page or file is requested. This normally includes:
- the IP address the request originated from;
- the date and time of the request;
- the page or file requested and the page that referred you;
- browser type and version, and device or operating-system information;
- the response status and approximate size of the transfer.
This data is produced by the web server and the application for security, troubleshooting and capacity purposes. It is not attached to an account profile, because the public website has no accounts.
What we do not collect. We do not ask for payment details or identity documents, we do not run advertising or profiling trackers, and we do not build behavioural profiles of visitors.
3. How We Use Information
Information is used for the following operational purposes:
- operating the website and serving pages, cover images and audio files;
- responding to enquiries, copyright notices and privacy requests;
- maintaining the security and stability of the service, and investigating abuse or automated requests;
- diagnosing errors and understanding, at an aggregate level, how the website is used;
- complying with legal obligations and responding to valid legal process.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising purposes.
5. Analytics
SoundsMp3 does not currently load Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or any other third-party analytics, session-replay or profiling script. Understanding how the site performs currently relies on the standard server logs described in section 2.
If a third-party analytics tool is introduced in future, this section will be updated to name the provider and explain what it collects, before the tool is enabled.
6. Advertising
SoundsMp3 does not currently display third-party advertising, does not participate in ad exchanges or ad networks, and does not set advertising cookies. There is no ad-blocking notice on the site because there is no advertising on the site.
If advertising is introduced later, this section will be updated to name the providers involved and to explain the purpose of any related cookies.
7. Third-Party Services
A small number of external services are contacted when you load a page:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) supplies the web fonts used by the design. Your browser sends your IP address and user agent to Google when it requests them.
- unpkg.com serves the wavesurfer.js audio player library that the website loads.
- Social sharing destinations (WhatsApp, Telegram, X and Facebook) are contacted only if you choose to use a share button. The site does not embed widgets or scripts from these platforms.
- External audio archives host some of the recordings. Playing or downloading such an item sends the request to the host that stores the file.
We do not control these services. Each publishes its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to read it before using that service.
8. Data Retention
Information is retained only for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, or for as long as applicable law requires.
- Correspondence, including copyright and privacy notices, is retained for as long as it takes to handle the matter and to keep a record of how it was handled.
- Server and application logs are retained for the period configured on the hosting infrastructure and are then rotated or deleted.
- Audio files you download are not tracked by us after they leave your browser.
The exact retention period for logs depends on the hosting configuration rather than on this policy, which is why no specific number of days is stated here.
9. Data Security
The production website is served over HTTPS, and the application relies on the standard protections of the Laravel framework, including encrypted cookies, CSRF tokens, hashed administrator passwords and server-side session storage. The administration panel is not part of the public website and requires an authorised account.
No system is perfectly secure. If an incident affects information held by us, we will take reasonable steps to investigate it, limit its effects, and comply with any notification duty that applies.
10. Children's Privacy
SoundsMp3 is a general-audience website for audio clips and is not directed at children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the public site has no accounts and no sign-up, we hold no profiles of children.
If you believe that a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International Data Transfers
SoundsMp3 is a globally accessible website, and some of the third-party services listed in section 7 process information on servers located outside your country. In particular, Google Fonts and fonts.gstatic.com are served from the global Google network, and externally hosted recordings are delivered from wherever their host stores them.
Those providers publish their own transfer safeguards and the legal basis they rely on within their own privacy policies, which we recommend reviewing.
12. User Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy of it;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete information we no longer have a reason to keep;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, certain uses of your information;
- withdraw a consent you previously gave;
- complain to your local data-protection authority.
Because the public website has no accounts, the information held about you is usually limited to correspondence you chose to send us, plus standard server logs. To make a request, use the address below, put "Privacy request" in the subject line, and tell us how we can identify you. We will respond within the period required by the law that applies to you.
We do not treat anyone differently for exercising a privacy right.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy when the website changes or when our obligations change. The revised version is published on this page, and the "Last updated" date above shows when it changed. Continuing to use the website after a revision means the updated policy applies from that point onwards.
